So far stripped down, DIY noise-rockers That Fucking Tank have had a triumphant year.
Supporting Foals in London and gracing both Reading & Leeds Festivals with their
presence, new single The Awesome Magnet should be snapped up by readily by their (already
strong) cult following. It's funny, all this success for a band initially formed as a joke for
a one-off gig!
The Awesome Magnet will challenge even the most open-minded persons perception of music.
A combination of heavy metal, punk, electro, the Nathan Barley-esque scene and just pure
crazy-ness and psychedelic noise mayhem. This track rambles along, twisting and turning unexpectedly,
breaking up and down ... totally unpredictable!
Fully instrumental B-side Fascist Because Beautiful starts with a grungy funky intro before
dropping to tribal bongos, it slowly builds with an acid-music riff to crazy ruckus guitars, drums
and bass. Again, you never know where That Fucking Tank will take you with this one.
I take my hat off to these guys, they smash the boundaries and clearly make the music they want to
regardless of what others may say, and it seems to be working for them. That Fucking Tank
are musical marmite, you will not think these guys are okay. You will love them, or you will hate
