This EP is one of five to be released free over the course of a year. Part 3 depicts a turn of
events in the life of a close friend and is in remembrance of another friend who passed away.
Owing to these reasons AOMC consider this EP to be their most earnest offering yet.
AOMC fight against being pigeon holed into genres. Wake up lads... every band fights it and every
reviewer does it. Admittedly they do make it difficult by sounding unlike any one band in
particular but they seem to have vague similarities to lots.
Part 3 opens with the creepy stylings of Jezebel. With a modern, electrified, slightly DIY sound
this song has a QOTSA-esque vibe and rocks on in a grungy, stoned sort of way. With a twinge of
a Beatles melody in the vocal, this track well arranged and demonstrates the bands obvious team
player attitude. All instruments complement each other and the backing vocals are well thought
out. The track slowly fades out and you don't notice the track change until the drums begin to
build up for the riff-laden Let's Go. With psychedelic, acidy sounding guitar and vocal melodies,
haunting rattley bass and dancey drums this tune rolls and spooks along. Right at the end it seems
a different singer takes over and that verse sounds just like Alex Turner, which you may deem good or bad.
This is an interesting band, with good philosophies and a decent vibe that is portrayed through
their music well. I apologise in advance for pigeon-holing chaps but I think people into QOTSA,
Kasabian, the latest Arctic Monkeys album and the slightly harder side of mainstream rock will
enjoy this EP.
