Lukas

Venue: Deep End (12 June 2003)
Reviewer: Chris the Hobo

Lukas

Most bizarre stage I've ever seen at the Deep End, set up like their own front room complete with sofa (on which the lads perched), coffee table, lamp and plastic dog! I would've gone home happy just looking at the stage but the evening got even better when the music started. Most early songs of the set appeared to be about the physical act of love, but all tastefully done.

The rest of the set - catchy, quirky, intelligent pop and rock that for some reason is so uniquely done here up north!

To say this gig was admittedly a stop-gap gig while Lukas acquire a new drummer, the acoustic setyup seems to work well for them and it's worth them trying it again sometime.

Very nice indeed!
